Mr. Charles de Kunffy's equestrian
credentials and reputation are as difficult to abbreviate
as they are to duplicate. Charles de Kunffy is a much-appreciated
clinician, sought after dressage judge, author of several
books, many articles, and introductions to the writing of
others. He was born and raised in Hungary as a member
of the nobility whose parents were eminent horse breeders
with derby winning racehorses. Mr. de Kunffy started riding
as a child, always under expert supervision and instruction.
His riding masters were educated during the golden age of
equitation 1900-1945. Cross-country riding, jumping
and dressage were melded into one comprehensive riding theory
and methodology. Mr. de Kunffy was schooled with the
strictest adherence to classical training traditions based
on scholarship and a profound respect for the horse.

From his California home he travels throughout
the world to lecture, teach, coach and demonstrate about
the principles of classical horsemanship. He is internationally
respected and sought to teach courses, from basics to college
level.
He conducts seminars, forums and clinics. He has given many
courses to riders, instructors and judges. Mr. de Kunffy
has been a guest on numerous TV and radio programs as well
as Internet interviews. For fourteen years he was an FEI
judge.

Mr. de Kunffy remains a tireless student of
the current equestrian developments not only by continuously
judging and teaching, but also by attending many international,
Olympic and world championship events.
He was welcomed in Europe, Africa, Australia, Canada and
the United States by enthusiastic and appreciative audiences.
Mr. de Kunffy's work is appreciated for its scholastic depth,
academic expertise and clarity and vigor of delivery. His
equestrian articles are well known on many continents and
were published by some of the finest equestrian magazines.
He has designed dressage saddles that are crafted
in Germany and marketed by Courbette Saddlery. Mr. de Kunffy
recently completed his first professional video entitled
The Art of Traditional
Dressage. Volume I - Seat And Aids.
